1. General Terms and Conditions Operation

  • These General Terms and Conditions apply to all services, offers, assignments and agreements of Tasso Institute B.V.
  • These General Terms and Conditions relate to Dutch and international trainings, refresher courses and workshops in the field of transpersonal regression therapy and coaching.
  • Where ‘Tasso’ appears in these General Terms and Conditions, it means ‘Tasso Institute BV.’
  • Agreements that deviate from these General Terms and Conditions only apply when agreed in writing.

2. Definitions.

These General Terms and Conditions mean:

  • Services: the education, refresher courses and workshops, master classes, courses and training provided by Tasso in the field of transpersonal regression therapy and coaching.
  • Students: natural persons who participate in a continuing education, workshop, master class, course or training provided by Tasso
  • Training: the professional training program in Transpersonal Regression Therapy.
  • International Training: Tasso’s English-language Regression Therapy training in the Netherlands.
  • Training year: a period of several months in which students receive instruction, attend classes and take exams at Tasso as part of one of the training programs.
  • Tuition: the monetary fee for the service. This includes: the use of Tasso facilities, established class days, practice days, mandatory homework meetings, supervisions, exams, final report grading, syllabi and handouts provided.
  • This does not include: additional voluntary homework sessions, the mandatory learning therapy, audiovisual teaching or auxiliary materials such as DVDs, hard-copy teaching materials such as books, and re-examinations, re-supervisions and reassessments of final reports.

3. Payment and delivery terms.

  • The full tuition fee due must be credited to Tasso’s account by the participant no later than 14 days prior to the start of the service. Failure to pay the tuition fee does not release the participant from the obligations undertaken.
    • Notwithstanding the previous paragraph, it is only possible for the Dutch course to pay the annual tuition fee in two equal parts or in ten equal monthly installments. These respective (installment) amounts must then be credited to Tasso’s account no later than the due dates listed below.
    • When paying in 2 equal parts, the 1st due date is 14 days before the start of the Course and the 2nd due date is 4 months after the 1st due date.
    • When paying in 10 equal installments, the 1st due date is 14 days before the start of the Training and the 2nd and subsequent due dates each time one month after the previous due date.
    • If an installment amount is not credited to Tasso’s account by the due date, the option to pay in installments automatically expires and the remaining tuition must still be paid in a lump sum and immediately.
    • For the program, students will receive a 4% discount if they pay the entire tuition fee at once and a 2% discount if they pay in two installments. This discount will expire if the (installment) amounts are not credited to Tasso’s bank account by the due dates listed above. These discounts do not apply in combination with other discounts.
  • Students in the international program who continue their education after the first module can pay for the remaining modules at a time, provided they do so for one module in advance each time. That is, they must have paid for the 2nd and 3rd modules 14 days before module 2 starts and so on.
  • Except as stipulated in these terms and conditions, tuition fees are never refunded.
  • Tasso is not obliged to provide services to participants until they have fulfilled their payment obligation of the tuition fees in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  • If Tasso agrees with the participant on a fixed price for the service, Tasso is nevertheless entitled to increase this price at any time if the price increase results from a power or obligation under the law or regulations or is caused by an increase in the costs incurred by Tasso or on other grounds that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the agreement was concluded. Participants are entitled to dissolve the agreement if the price increase exceeds 10%.

4. Registration, study agreement and reflection period.

  • Participants are registered when Tasso has accepted their registration after an intake procedure. They then receive a confirmation with all relevant details of the seminar or training. With this the registration is final and the study agreement is established for the duration of the service as stated in the training information and participants declare their agreement with the terms and conditions as stated here.
  • Participants register for the full program and duration of the service. For the program, they enroll for the duration of one program year.
  • The study agreement includes the service for which participants enroll including the course material and the teaching days, practice days, practice days, exams and other testing associated with the service.
  • The services and support resulting from the study agreement are personal and non-transferable.
  • A withdrawal period of fourteen days applies from the time Tasso confirms the acceptance of the registration to a participant. Participants exercise the right of withdrawal by declaring their intention to dissolve the study agreement by mail or e-mail within this period.
  • After participants have exercised their right of withdrawal, they have 14 days to return any course materials received, postage prepaid and by registered mail. In case of late return, Tasso may charge a fee for the course materials.
  • Should a participant exercise their right of withdrawal, but have already used all or part of the service, Tasso will charge the cost of that part.

5. Interim Termination, Resumption and Timing.

  • Students in the first year of the Regression and Reincarnation Therapy Program may terminate the program prematurely if they notify the Tasso Secretariat in writing no later than the 6th day of classes of the year in question by means of an unequivocal statement.
  • The premature termination is not official until the student has received written confirmation from Tasso. In this case, the program ends immediately after the 6th day of classes. Tasso will then refund the remaining tuition already paid. Any previously granted discounts will expire and will be settled first.
  • Students who terminated the program early at their own request may resume the program within three years of termination.
  • Students who prematurely terminated the program in the first year after 6 class days may retake these 6 class days at a reduced rate of 50%. The remaining tuition will be billed at the then current rate. These may be paid in one or two installments subject to the due dates in these Terms and Conditions.
  • Students may make up missed class days free of charge in a subsequent training year. They can also attend already attended class days again at a reduced rate of 50%.
  • In special cases, a student may temporize the program. In this case, the student can attend and complete the program in several training years. This is only possible with the agreement of Tasso. The financial consequences will then be determined by mutual agreement.

6. Dropout and cancellation

  • Cancellations can only be made in writing to the Tasso secretary. The day on which the written cancellation is received by Tasso will count as the cancellation date.
  • For cancellations up to 4 weeks prior to the service start date by the participant, Tasso will refund the full tuition fee. If cancelled 2 to 4 weeks prior to the service start date by the participant, Tasso will refund 50% of the tuition fee. If the participant cancels within 2 weeks prior to the service start date, Tasso will not refund any tuition.
  • In case of late cancellation by a participant as well as non-participation in a service, the payment obligation remains.
  • If after the start of the service a participant terminates participation prematurely or otherwise does not participate in the service, he is not entitled to any refund.
  • In case of insufficient registrations or due to special urgent circumstances, Tasso reserves the right to cancel or change a service. In such cases, Tasso will inform the participants as soon as possible. After consultation, new dates will be determined by Tasso. Rescheduling for this reason does not entitle a participant to cancellation, refund or compensation. In case of cancellation by Tasso, the participant will receive a refund of the course fee.
  • In case of illness or prevention of a teacher, Tasso will make every effort to provide equivalent replacement. If replacement is not possible, Tasso will inform the participants as soon as possible. Tasso will then cancel the course.
  • If an instructor is ill or unable to attend, Tasso will make every effort to provide an equivalent replacement. If replacement proves impossible, Tasso will notify the participants as soon as possible. Tasso will then reschedule the meeting after consulting with the participants. The international training will always take place.

7. Property rights and copyrights of course materials

  • The copyright and intellectual property rights of the course materials are held by Tasso, as applicable. The participant may only use the course material provided by Tasso for personal study. The reproduction, sale, transfer or making available of the course materials to third parties is not permitted without the express prior written consent of Tasso.
  • Participants and former participants may quote from the course material, provided the source is clearly stated.

8. Privacy

  • In accordance with applicable privacy legislation, Tasso informs participants that the information they provide, such as name, address and place of residence, will be included in the student administration.
  • Tasso will use this data only for the purpose of performing the service and to keep the participant informed about the service or related information.
  • Tasso does not make participants’ personal information available to third parties.
  • All personal information provided by participants to Tasso, its staff and instructors will be treated confidentially in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation.

9. Nullity or voidability

  • If one or more provisions of these Terms and Conditions are void or annulled, the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall remain in force. The provisions that are not legally valid or cannot legally be applied will be replaced by provisions that are in line with the purport of the provisions to be replaced.

10. Applicable law and liability

  • These General Terms and Conditions, as well as all offers, orders, services and agreements are governed by Dutch law. Even if a service is performed in whole or in part abroad or if the participant resides there.
  • Tasso is not liable for any direct or indirect damage caused by whatever reason to the participant’s property.
  • Tasso shall not be liable for costs of any kind if part of a service must be cancelled.
  • To the extent that Tasso is culpably at fault and the Participant suffers damages as a result, Tasso’s liability is limited to its statutory liability and limited to compensation for direct damages.
  • All disputes to which these Terms and Conditions apply shall be settled by the competent court of the District Court of Central Netherlands.
